SUCCESS PROJECT

  • The Success Project aim is to work with at risk minority males in grades 9th -12th who have certain barriers that will hinder their ability to achieve their desired success in life.
    • Participant has to have one of three disadvantaging factors (social, academic, economic)
    • One of the goal is to change the participants sociological interpretation
    • Participant has to have a parent/guardian present at all times
    • No one person succeeds on their own merits.  It takes faith, perseverance, dedication, and the desire to want to succeed to make the accession to your success.


This project will change the participants environment to see success can be achieved no matter where you start.  We will work to refocus the participants energy from negative activity to positive producing activity.  The participant only has to bring a lot of Enthusiasm to make the transformation complete.  

BOYS-TO-MEN BREAKFAST CLUB

The Boys-To-Men Breakfast Club is a program designed to provide mentoring and developmental characteristics for boys between the ages of 9 – 13 who are struggling at or below 60% grade level academically, mild behavioral problems, and need

  • We have four principle words that serve as the foundation for the participants of the program which are as follows:

Responsibility- Being reliable; having the presence and tools to be dependable.

Accountability- Taking ownership of your actions.

Respect- Understanding to give certain amount of honor to yourself and others.

Enthusiasm- Displaying the excitement in identifying your passion and being focused to learn everything about the passion.

TEEN GEN

The TeenGEN (Getting Empowered Now) program is offered through Dreams to Reality, Inc. free of charge. Designed for young ladies between the ages of 13 and 18, the TeenGEN program expects to develop positive self-image and problem-solving skills, which can be useful immediately and hopefully sustained in the future.

Topics include:

– Am I beautiful? [Assessing my self-image honestly]

– How do others see me? [Interacting with my peers strategically]

– Becoming assertive, not aggressive [Handling my anger responsibly]

– Each one, teach one [Sharing my knowledge willingly]

The TeenGEN group meets in ten (10) weekly sessions.  

UGLY PROJECT

  • The Ugly project is part of the fundraising arm for Dreams-To-Reality.  
  • The program is a restoration project that utilizes donated goods like homes, autos, motorcycle, etc.  If the item has a monetary value and can be restored to a usable state we will accept it and give a tax donation letter for the value of the item to the donor.  
  • The participants of the Success project will get hands on experience in the renovation process and they will create entrepreneurial businesses to help the renovation.
  • Example of donation process (process can work for houses also):
    • Car is donated to organization.
    • Participants are trained by certified mechanic on how to diagnosis and repair vehicle
    • Some participants may like detailing vehicles so create a mobile detailing business
    • Some participants may want to work on marketing and selling vehicle so create an auto sales lot

ROAD TO REDEMPTION

This program is for non-violent offenders whom are within six months of being released from prison. We are going to provide life skills coaching to be able to give this specific demographic the opportunity to display that they can be an asset to society through hard work, discipline, and acknowledging the past actions that caused the hiccup on their journey. Therefore, in the process of this program  will reach success by exhibiting redemption along their path toward positivity and success.




Rhythm Of Hope

Rhythm of Hope Is targeting youth between the ages of  8 – 18.  The Goal is to create, Creative Arts programs such as Music, Arts, Dance, and More. These programs will be provided to kids that live in lower income communities, Foster kids and children with single parents.  We plan to equip kids with life skills and provide an environment where they can express their creativity and learn to create a career with their passions. 

OPERATION D.A.D.

  • The acronym D.A.D. stands for Daughters with Absentee Daddies
  • The program is targeted to young girls between the ages of 7 – 14 that have an absentee daddy. We strive to cultivate and foster healthy relationships and character development for young girls with absentee fathers. We provide mentoring, life skills, and social development that substitutes for the absence of their father.
  • We provide several types of workshops and peer groups that address the lack of a positive male role model, coping methods and strategies for having an absentee daddy, and the significance of having a father figure in your life.

Adopt the pace of Nature

The Bully Diversion Center will provide variety of resources to local nonprofit organizations to
utilize.

The Bully Project will directly impact the lives of probationers, recently released, and/or
juveniles between the ages of 8-18 who have committed non-violent offenses through mentoring
and learn leadership skills through care of  American Bully dog.
